На кой хер брать в руки такую тушку и такую вспышку, если не знаешь элементарных вещей!

Unfortunately you’ll need additional equipment - another 580 EX II on the camera, or a pair of pocketwizards, or the Canon ST-E2 wireless transmitter for flash (or one of the other wireless systems like Elinchrom Skyport, or one of the cheaper aftermarket brands).

The 5D does not have any capability to contol the flash wirelessly. Like Seth said you will need another flash (put the 580EX ony the 5D and place a 430EX or 580EX in the softbox, buy the canon ST-E2 wireless transmitter (which communicates with infrared light which means both flashes must see each other), or get a radio wireless transmitter / reciever (there are several brands, such as pocketwizard, Elinchrom Skyport as Seth mentioned). Canon doesn’t make the radio type. Just the IR line of sight type.

I bought two pocketwizard flex tt5 for mark 5d mkii and 580ex ii last month. I couldn’t get them to work properly. From talking to the sales rep, I guess they’ve been have a lot of compatibility issues.
